Welcome to Our New Research Assistant!
We’re excited to announce a valuable addition to our team at Biotecture Inc. - Viquar Unnisa Begum! As our new Research Assistant, a PhD candidate from the University of Waterloo, Unnisa brings nearly a decade of health research experience, specializing in Vision Science and Neuroscience. She will play a key role in supporting our mission to develop health-centered solutions.
In her own words:
"I am a PhD candidate at the University of Waterloo with nearly a decade of experience in health research, specializing in Vision Science and Neuroscience. My current research focuses on the neural mechanisms underlying multisensory perception and the effects in the aging population. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in optometry from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in India, where my clinical rotations sparked a deeper curiosity about early disease detection and quality-of-life improvements for patients affected by vision disorders. This interest led me to pursue a Master’s in Vision Science at the University of Waterloo. Combining clinical and research expertise, I am skilled in designing and managing complex projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholders across academia, healthcare, and industry. My research interests span across health science, real-world evidence, and the translation of scientific insights into impactful outcomes. At Biotecture Inc., I am eager to apply my skills in neuroscience and health research to contribute to architecture that promotes health and well-being. I also look forward to connecting with experts in the field to learn how innovative approaches are shaping positive change for Canadians."
We are thrilled to have her on board as we continue advancing our interdisciplinary approach to sustainable, health-promoting architecture.
Welcome to Biotecture Inc.!
